of a brighter sun
of a happier time

the kindness of God
the chill of the breeze
the calm of the sea

You laugh at me
because I love
the laughter of the kids
the drizzle of the rain
the song of the birds

You laugh at me
and I laugh back
because I can feel
that you believe me!

As I stand on the door
Ready to step out
Into a new world
Ready to make
A new beginning
Ready to give
A new meaning to life.

I am tempted
To take the step back
And recoil myself
Into the comforts
Of my old familiar life.

I hesitate for a moment,
I tremble,
I almost make up my mind
To run back
Into the warm embrace
Of my old home , my old surroundings, my old friends.

I feel choked by the nostalgias
I feel weak in my feet
My present feels crushed
Between my past and my future.

But then the hopes in me
Retaliate with all their strength
Re-kindling the longing in me
To take on this world anew
To conquer all its new challenges
And achieve newer heights of excellence.

I bundle up my past memories
And cling them close to my heart
They are my assets for life
As light as a feather
And I will always fondly carry them with me
Adding to them new memories
Which I shall reap as I tread
Along the path of my life

I, now , feel as fresh as the morning dew,
As I take my next steps
To explore a new life
That now awaits me ,
With all its open arms.

Who on winning is in a state of trance.

I want to be the politician
Who has authority all around
I want to be the sportsman
Who has won more titles than he can count.

I want to be him, her and them
But maybe, deep-down
I just want to be ME.

I explored life…………….

In the beauty of the sunset,
I admired life……………..

In that one day,

I, finally, lived life………………

When at this very moment, I am surrounded by many

When I have just stopped laughing

Why do I suddenly feel wrong?
When all has been right till now

Why do I suddenly feel nervous?
When I was calm all along

Why do I suddenly feel like a stranger?
In a world, I claim to know so well

These moments of uncertainty have come before and will come again

These are like the sudden tears that
Sometimes unexpectedly fill our eyes
And temporarily blur our vision
But on falling down nevertheless
Open the eyes of our soul
To a clearer, achievable end

These indecisive moments too shall pass
And leave behind a stronger, more determined me.
